Report – Man United could move to sign £50million player – Face competition

Ben White Brighton

Last night, Manchester United were beaten at Old Trafford by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and once again, our back-line was at sixes and sevens.

The Red Devils need a leader in the defense and they are linked with numerous quality center halves. One of them is Ben White.

Transfer: Man Utd can get early signing done for £45million – Face competition

The 23-year-old player was in top form for Leeds United (on loan) in the last campaign. He featured in every league fixture under the management of Marcelo Bielsa and helped the team keep no fewer than 21 clean sheets in the Championship winning season.

That is why, he was a wanted man in the summer transfer window but Brighton managed to hold on to him and agreed a new deal that will expire in 2024.

If the latest reports going on in the media are anything to go by then Man United are observing the youngster and could move to hire his services to improve their leaky defense.

According to Sky Sports, the Old Trafford outfit are monitoring the development of Ben White but they face competition from the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool.

White has helped the Seagulls keep two clean sheets and as Wyscout‘s index rankings, he is the fourth best performing center back in the Premier League this term (Sky).

Man United have leaked goals on regular basis this term and they need someone to command the back-line. In your view, should Man United move in to sign Ben White, who is valued at £50million by Brighton?

  1. To me Utd should change their coach immediately before thinking about improving their defense. We are tired of the in consistency. Please employ Potenchino or any other person that will turn things around at old trafford. I don’t see Soldier equal to the task
