Manchester United are getting closer and closer to signing Jadon Sancho if reports in the media are anything to go by.
According to Sky Germany, Man Utd have finally agreed a fee worth 85 million euros (£72.8million) with Borussia Dortmund to hire the services of the England international this summer. It is reported that just the final details are missing and the deal is imminent.
Similarly, WAZ have also revealed that the 21-year-old will be moving to Old Trafford for a price of £72.8million. The renowned German source have stated that the official announcement of the signing will not be made until the end of the European Championships.
Yesterday, England ousted Germany from the competition (Round of 16) and the Three Lions will face Ukraine in the last eight on Saturday night.
Sancho was an unused substitute vs the 4-time World Champions and he did not even feature for a single minute in the first two group games as well. So far, the former Manchester City winger has only played for six minutes in the tournament (last group fixture vs Czech Republic).
Gareth Southgate has got so many attacking options and the likes of Sterling and Saka have performed well, so, one cannot really blame the manager for keeping out the likes of Mount, Foden and Sancho.
Nevertheless, Man Utd will be getting a top quality player, who has been one of the most consistent performers in the German league. In the 2018-19 campaign, the then teenager directly contributed in 33 goals, in the 2019-20 season, he directly contributed in 40 goals and last term, he directly contributed in 36 goals.
Will he be a major hit at Old Trafford? Only time will tell.
