Man Utd could agree deal to sign £35million star in January – Report

Emre Can Khedira Germany

Manchester United’s record signing Paul Pogba is linked with a move away from Old Trafford. If our French star leaves then Solskjaer must adequately replace him.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Juventus are looking to re-sign the Les Bleus midfielder, who would be happy to return to the Italian champions (Tutto Sport).

Transfer: Man Utd prepared to offer £10.4million-a-year terms to secure signing – Report

Tutto Sport have claimed German international Emre Can would probably be sold in the January transfer window. The renowned Italian source have stated that Man Utd could immediately agree a deal to sell Pogba if Juventus offer Can and cash worth 60 million euros.

The former Liverpool midfielder has been linked with the Red Devils for quite some time. Back in October, Sky Sports covered a story linking the £35million rated star to Manchester United.

Moreover, earlier this month, La Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Sport Witness) revealed that the 25-year-old is flattered by the opportunity of moving to the Old Trafford club.

Can is a versatile talent, who can effectively play in multiple midfield positions. He can also play in the central defense if needed. The Kaiser has proved his worth in the Premier League but the fact that he has played for Liverpool does not really help. His reputation at Anfield would be ruined forever if he opts to move to Manchester United.

In my view, Pogba has mainly been inconsistent for us and as far as this season is concerned, the 26-year-old has mostly been on the treatment table. Therefore, I would not mind if he is sold in the middle of the campaign. However, Can would not be a like for like replacement and this season, the ex Bayer Leverkusen man has mostly been a bench warmer under Sarri.

The versatile midfielder was excluded from Juventus’ Champions League squad for the group stages and so far, he has only started two Serie A games in the current campaign.

It must be remembered that we let Fellaini and Herrera leave in the past two transfer windows and Solskjaer did not strengthen the midfield department in the summer. So, we do lack quality and depth in the center of the park.

In your view, should Man Utd agree to sell Paul Pogba if Emre Can and 60 million euros are offered by the Bianconeri?

  1. Truly I don’t see that working for UNITED however much CAN is a better player but he is not the one to replace PAUL in importance. MAN U should look out for other potential signings if they are to strengthen that position. And about GOMES they should not take a risk of leaving the boy walk out of the club but instead find a better solution for him.

  2. Do not sell Pogba!! He is a worthy talent and if Juve wraps him up then Juve will be an unstoppable side! So it would be foolish to sell Pogba for Can

  3. Pogba should leave, manu has not achieved a lot from him since he has no team spirit, but Madison could be the right replacement if Pogba leaves, besides, if Can arrives at Old Trafford, then the remaining balance should be used to bring Madison within this season

  4. Yes sell him while he still deserves a standing ovation. Anything after that he will be an average middle ball runner.
