Manchester United were linked with Frenkie de Jong and Sergino Dest in the summer transfer window but failed to lure none of the Barcelona players.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils are interested in Barca’s teenage sensation, Lamine Yamal.
According to a recent story covered by Sport (press image provided below), the Catalan club consider the 15-year-old boy a top talent and want to hold on to him no matter what.
The dilemma is that the youngster, who mainly plays as a center forward, cannot sign a professional contract with the Blaugrana until he turns 16.
Till then, Barca will have to ward off interest of top clubs. The Spanish news source have mentioned Man Utd could submit a lucrative offer, much higher than what the La Liga side can put on the table, to sign Lamine.
On the other hand, the likes of Liverpool, Man City, Bayern and Leipzig, who like to nurture young players, could move in to hire his services as well.
Therefore, Barcelona are already active and are taking steps to ensure that player will eventually sign a professional deal on his 16th birthday (July 13, 2023).
Lamine has played for the Spanish U-15 and U-16 sides. On the other hand, he is already featuring for the Nou Camp outfit’s Juvenil A side, competing with players older than him.
The fact that top European clubs are reportedly linked with him indicates that the teenage sensation is a massive talent.
In your view, should Man United move in to sign Lamine Yamal?
