Manchester United have been linked with Jude Bellingham for quite some time and the latest reports seem positive.
According to multiple media outlets (The Guardian – The Telegraph), the teenager has been allowed to talk to interested clubs and yesterday, he and his parents met Man Utd’s executives at Carrington and even Sir Alex Ferguson was there for talks ahead of a potential £35million summer move.
Transfer: Man United backed to sign £80million play breaker
The youngster will turn 17 in a few months and already, he has played thirty five games for Birmingham City’s first team. In the Championship, so far, in twenty five starts, Bellginham has netted four goals and also provided three assists as well.
For the national side, so far, the Stourbridge bown starlet has made three appearances for the Under-17 English team and found the net twice.
The 16-year-old has played in multiple midfield and offensive positions this term but naturally, he is a creative central midfielder, who is wanted (The Telegraph) by top clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Dortmund etc.
In the past three transfer windows, United have let go midfielders like Herrera and Fellaini and have not replaced them. Not to forget, Matic is past his best and Pogba has mostly been on the treatment table.
So, we definitely lack quality and depth in the center of the park and Solskjaer must splash the cash to improve the department in the summer transfer window.
This season, McTominay and Fred have regularly started in the midfield and the duo have been impressive. In your view, is Jude Bellingham good enough to improve our squad? Should Man Utd spend £35million to secure his signing in summer?
