Report – Man Utd hold talks to sign £43million-£51.6million star

Manchester United and Jean-Clair Todibo are consistently linked in the French media and the latest reports are intriguing.

A few days ago, we covered a story via Le Foot Magazine claiming that the Red Devils want the French international to replace Raphael Varane at Old Trafford.

Moreover, French journalist, Rudy Galetti, revealed the Premier League side are favorites to sign the Nice defender, who is valued at around £43million-£51.6million.

Yesterday, RMC Sport published an article and stated that Man Utd have held talks to sign Jean-Clair Todibo, however, he could end up staying with the Ligue 1 side this month.

As per the renowned media outlet, United have made contact and inquired about luring the former Nou Camp player, who has arguably been the best central defender in the French league this season.

It is reported that the interest from Man Utd and Chelsea is real and even Spurs are looking to lure the talented star.

Nice are currently second in the table behind PSG and according to FM, they do not want to lose Todibo in the winter transfer window.

Man Utd are fourteen points behind PL leaders and arch rivals, Liverpool, moreover, they are nine points behind Arsenal, who are in the fourth place.

Therefore, the Red Devils, who have been terrible at the back, cannot afford to wait for the summer and must move to sign a top defender like Jean-Clair Todibo in January.
