Report – Man Utd lead to secure signing of £59million creative player – Face competition

Milinkovic-Savic

Manchester United need to improve their squad in the summer transfer window and without doubt, midfield is our weakest department.

The likes of Fred and McTominay have not performed consistently for us and we could be losing both Matic and Pogba in June.

Transfer: Man Utd restlessly moving to sign £68million star for Ten Hag – Report

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for some time and reports indicate that they are in pole position to hire his services.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Man Utd and PSG are leading the race to lure the Serbian international, whose current contract with Lazio will expire in 2 years.

The famous Italian media outlet have mentioned that club president, Claudio Lotito, is dreaming of an auction that can get him a fee of 100 million euros. However, the representatives of the player believe that a fee worth 70 million euros (£59million) is much more realistic.

The 27-year-old has spent seven years with the Serie A side and has repeatedly extended his stay with them.

Now, GdS claim that he is not going to sign another extension and therefore, to get the maximum value from his sale, the Biancocelesti would have to sell him in the next transfer window.

Man Utd do need a player in the center of the park who can regularly score and create goals and in such a scenario, a creative star like Milinkovic-Savic would be perfect. This term, the former Genk man has so far netted 9 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions for Lazio.
