Manchester United need to improve their midfield department and Spanish international Saul Niguez has been linked with them for some time.
The versatile star has been one of the most important players at the Wanda Metropolitano but that is no longer the case and he could depart.
Transfer: £140,000-a-week ‘phenomenal’ star backed to agree Man United move
Yesterday, Mundo Deportivo (news image provided below) covered a story and stated that Man Utd love the 26-year-old midfielder and could move in with a bid to hire his services this summer.
The Spanish news outlet have claimed that the La Roja star has been thinking about leaving the club for and the Rojiblancos will not come in his way. However, they are looking for an adequate fee to allow his exit. It is stated that the Premier League giants have not made any offer as yet.
As far as the asking price is concerned, a week back, The Daily Mail reported that a bid worth £45million could be enough to secure his signing.
Last season, Saul featured in 33 appearances in Atletico’s title-winning campaign. He has won every major domestic prize with the Colchoneros. In Europe, he has won two Europa League titles and one UEFA Super Cup.
The 19-capped international can play anywhere in the midfield and we know that Old Trafford legend, Rio Ferdinand, is a huge admirer of the Spaniard (Goal).
