Manchester United have been linked with Portuguese international and Sporting CP attacker Bruno Fernandes for quite some time and the latest reports are intriguing.
According to A Bola, the Red Devils have made their first contact with the representatives of the 24-year-old star to secure his services.
The renowned Portuguese outlet have further stated that the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Milan are also linked with Fernandes, who has a mammoth release clause of €100million (£86million) in his contract (expires in 2023).

The Primeira Liga star is a versatile talent, who can play in multiple midfield and attacking positions. Naturally, he is an attacking midfielder but he has effectively played as a central midfielder, secondary striker and also as a left winger.
This season, he has been in sensational form for Sporting CP. So far, in 41 appearances in all competitions, the Seleccao star has directly contributed in no fewer than 36 goals (23 goals and 13 assists).
As far as United are concerned, Solskjaer has mainly utilized Pogba in the CAM position and he has excelled big time. Still, United lack quality and depth in the position.
Other than the club’s record signing, Mata is the backup option for the CAM position but the Spaniard is currently injured and in all fairness, he is slow and past his best. Therefore, United must sign a replacement to reinforce the area.
Fernandes has proved to be exceptional and shown that he is ready to step up in his career. United should splash the cash to secure his signature in the summer transfer window.
