Manchester United have secured two proven quality attackers in the form of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo this summer and now, reports suggest that they could sell a winger.
According to an exclusive story covered by The Sun, Man Utd are prepared to secure the exit of Daniel James after the arrival of Ronaldo.
The British news source have mentioned that the likes of Brighton, Crystal Palace, Everton and Leeds are interested in the 23-year-old winger, who could be loaned out or sold before Tuesday’s deadline.
The Welsh international joined the Red Devils back in 2019 and scored three goals in his first four Premier League appearances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, after that, he failed to find the net in the 2019-20 PL campaign.
Last season, the former Swansea City attacker mainly warmed the bench at Old Trafford and started just 11 games in the league. On the other hand, he was average at the European Championships. In 4 appearances for Wales, he did not directly contribute in any goal.
We already have Sancho, Rashford, Greenwood and now even Ronaldo, who can effectively play in the wide attacking positions, therefore, the services of James are not really required.
The 24-year-old winger’s current contract with Man Utd will expire in 2024 and he earns around £45,000 a week (The Sun).
In your opinion, should Ole opt to sell Daniel James before the closure of the summer transfer window?
