Historically, Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in Europe but the last decade has been as bad as they come from a Red Devils perspective. It has been more than 10 years since the English club last won the Premier League.

Currently, Ruben Amorim is attempting the impossible, trying to build a winning project at Old Trafford.

News – Man Utd have now made contact to sign £41.5m player – Report

The Portuguese tactician has taken a brave career decision, abandoning a successful project in Lisbon to take over the role in England.

To be successful in whatever he is doing, Man Utd need to find a way to make signings for Amorim. However, the Red Devils aren’t exactly cash rich and might struggle to make marquee signings in the upcoming summer.

Now, as per Spanish source, Fichajes, Man Utd are readying a £66million offer (80 million euros) to sign proven quality Barcelona defender, Jules Kounde. The Frenchman has been right up there with one of the best right-backs in the world so far this season.

Although he is predominantly a centre-back and was one of the most promising players in his position back at Sevilla, Kounde has made a transition to right-back rather successfully and has been excelling in his new role.

In Ruben Amorim’s team at Man Utd in the 3-4-3 system that he likes to use, Jules Kounde is perfectly capable of playing both as an outer center-back on the right side and even as a wing-back should the situation necessitate it.

However, despite Man Utd’s best efforts, they are unlikely to be able to convince Barcelona to sell one of their key players. Even the player himself might not want to come and join a struggling Red Devils side but let’s wait and see how it plays out.
