Transfer: Man United told £102million would get signing done – Report
With regards to Man Utd, the famous Spanish media outlet have mentioned that the Red Devils, who even wanted to sign the striker when he was at Salzburg, will bid very hard to hire his services in the summer transfer window.
However, the suitors would need to break the bank to get him. Sport state (via ESPN) that the 20-year-old would only be sold by Dortmund in the next transfer window if the price of 180 million euros is met.
Haaland does have a release clause of 75 million euros which will come into effect next summer, so, BvB are demanding an enormous fee this summer keeping in view the level of competition. Not sure, anyone would be able to afford to spend 180 million euros with the pandemic still around.
In just 30 starts for the German Bundesliga side this term, the former Salzburg finisher has directly contributed in 41 goals (33 goals and 8 assists) in all competitions.
The £130,000-a-week star (The Mail) has netted 21 goals in 20 league starts, on the other hand, no Man Utd striker has been able to score 20+ goals in the Premier League since 2013. The last man to achieve the feat was Dutch superstar Robin van Persie.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming weeks and will keep you updated.
