According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Thomas Lemar has set his sights on joining Premier League giants Manchester United.
Following his stunning campaign for Monaco last term, Thomas Lemar has widely been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer and Arsenal have been courting the services of the French international for quite a while now.
However, Arsenal have recently given up on their hopes of acquiring the services of Lemar after manager Arsene Wenger revealed that Monaco have slammed the door on the 21-year-old’s exit from the club this summer.
Nonetheless, reports linking Lemar to England continue to circulate and according to the Daily Mirror, the player is keen on joining Manchester United.
United have been in the market to sign a new winger all summer long but their pursuit of the duo of Ivan Perisic and Gareth Bale has failed to come into fruition.
As a result, United were said to have focused their attention towards signing Lemar instead and have now been handed a huge boost in their hopes of landing the youngster.
Although Wenger revealed that Monaco are not willing to sell Lemar, United certainly do possess the financial capability to change the French champions’ stance and it will be interesting to see how the story develops in the coming days.
