Manchester United are looking to improve their squad for next season and as per reports going on in the media, they are seriously interested in signing two Juventus stars.
According to Calcio Mercato, Man Utd plot double offer to sign Alex Sandro and Douglas Costa, who have got a combined worth of 80 million euros (£72million).
Transfer: Deal close – Man United set to agree £20.8million terms to keep star
The famous Italian outlet have mentioned that the Old Trafford outfit’s interest in Costa is getting more and more concrete with the passage of time as they look to reinforce their attack in the summer.
On the other hand, Sandro has been linked with Man United for quite some time and it is stated that once again, the Brazilian defender is strongly in the sights of the 20-time English champions.
Costa’s deal with the Bianconeri will expire in 2022 and Sandro will be out of contract in 2023. As far as the price tags are concerned, Calcio Mercato claim that the Italian Champions want at least 40 million euros for the winger and the same fee for the left back as well.
Opinion
Manchester United do need to improve their wide attacking positions and Costa is a quality player. However, he was highly injury prone in the last campaign and it must be remembered that the Samba star will turn 30 next month.
Solskjaer should look to sign a young attacker, who would be able to serve the club in the long run. Therefore, in my view, the Norwegian manager should look at someone else to strengthen the offense. Luring Dybala from Juventus would be great.
As far as the left back situation is concerned, Luke Shaw is the first choice star and we have young Brandon Williams, who has done well in the absence of the former Southampton man.
So, at the moment, there is no real need to sign a new left back in the form of Alex Sandro, who is going to turn 30 in January 2021.
In your opinion, who should Man Utd sign to improve their squad in the summer transfer window?
United should seriously look at Enda Steven’s of Sheffield United.
One of, if not THE best left backs in the Premier league season just gone. Far better player than Luke Shaw or Brandon Williams.
