Six changes – 3-4-2-1 Man Utd starting lineup vs West Ham United – Predicted XI

Bruno Fernandes Trains Man Utd

After beating Athletic Club comfortably in the Europa League semi-final second leg in midweek, Manchester United will host West Ham United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Red Devils’ main focus is to win the Europa League, and they will face off against Tottenham Hotspur in the final on 21st May. They don’t have anything to play for in this encounter vs the Hammers as they are languishing in the bottom half of the league.

As per team news, Man Utd are set to be without Matthijs de Ligt, Diogo Dalot, Ayden Heaven, Lisandro Martínez, Toby Collyer, Joshua Zirkzee, and Jonny Evans for this game due to their injury problems.

Ruben Amorim has said in his pre-match press conference that Harry Maguire picked up an issue against the Basque club and is in doubt for this fixture.

Chido Obi hasn’t been registered to play in the Europa League, so he wasn’t eligible in midweek, but is ready to be involved this weekend, having started the last league game vs Brentford.

Predicted Man Utd lineup vs West Ham

Amorim is likely to make six changes to his line-up from the last game against Athletic Club, and Altay Bayindir could be called upon to start in goal to give Andre Onana a breather.

The Portuguese boss is unlikely to take any risk with Maguire, hence, Victor Lindelof could commence in the CCB position. On either side of the Swede, Tyler Fredricson and Luke Shaw may start and complete the centre-back trio.

Therefore, Leny Yoro is likely to be among the substitutes, having displayed an impressive performance last time out. Noussair Mazraoui and Harry Amass should be the two wing-backs. Meaning, Patrick Dorgu might get a rest this weekend.

Manuel Ugarte could be paired up with Bruno Fernandes in the engine room. In that case, Casemiro may be among the substitutes having scored vs Ernesto Valverde’s side.

Mason Mount was excellent after being introduced in the second half in midweek and scored two great goals. He should be in the No.10 position, and Alejandro Garnacho is expected to be alongside him. Amad Diallo may feature off the bench.

Chido might be called upon to start in the CF role once again to give Hojlund a breather. Here’s the predicted 3-4-2-1 Man Utd line-up vs West Ham:
