Sky Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Manchester United are yet to make a formal approach to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer.
Earlier last month, the Brazil international was highlighted as the prime target for United with Jose Mourinho eyeing a new left-back to replace Ashley Young in the starting lineup.
However, United have since stepped up their interest in signing young Porto full-back Diogo Dalot and Romano has now stated the club are yet to lodge a bid for Sandro’s signature.
No bid from Manchester United to Juventus for Alex Sandro, at the moment. Let's see on next weeks, but at the moment there's no talks for the Brazilian left back! ??? #transfers #MUFC

United’s interest in Sandro has been well documented in the British press over the past fortnight and at one stage, there were suggestions that a deal could be finalised shortly after the FA Cup Final.
Since then, the news surrounding Sandro has pretty much disappeared with Fred, Dalot, Toby Alderweireld and long-term target Gareth Bale touted as the main targets for the transfer window.
Of late, the Bianconeri are said to have begun talks over a possible contract extension for Sandro and it will be interesting to see whether United step up their pursuit for the Brazilian in the coming weeks.
