Manchester United star Eric Bailly is linked with a move away from Old Trafford as per recent reports going on in the Spanish media.
As per Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla are interested in signing a center half this winter and the Ivorian star is in the focus.
On the other hand, Mundo Deportivo have reported that the former Villareal defender would like to leave United and return to Spain and Sevilla could be his next destination. The Spanish source have further stated that Solskjaer has given free rein to the departure of the African star.
Transfer – Man Utd ‘attacks’, could agree key signing for just £38million this month
I do not think that the Manchester United supporters would actually mind if the 24-year-old center back leaves the club in the January transfer window.
In his first season at Old Trafford, Bailly did well under Mourinho, however, last season, he was mostly on the treatment table (injured) and in the current campaign, he has mainly warmed the bench.
Interim boss Solskjaer opted to start Bailly against Bournemouth in United’s last game of 2018 but the Ivorian was shown a straight red card for his rash tackle in the 78th minute of the game.
The club have so many options in the central defense at the moment with players like Rojo, Jones, Lindelof and Smalling around as well but we have still leaked so many goals this season.
So, if an out of form and unhappy Bailly, who earns £75,000-a-week (The Daily Star), wants to leave the club then we should look to get as much as cash possible from his sale and reinvest it to sign a top quality central defender.
