Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is reportedly on his way to Valencia on a season-long loan deal, Spanish-based journalist Sid Lowe has revealed.
The Brazil Under-23 international spent the previous campaign on loan with Granada where he was one of the standout performers with five goals from 37 outings.
Pereira got a look from Jose Mourinho during their pre-season tour earlier this summer, but he has since failed to make the matchday squad for the Premier League campaign.
Valencia owner Peter Lim is understood to have travelled to Manchester today in order to finalise Pereira’s temporary move to the Mestalla, but according to Sid Lowe h/t The Express, the move is all but done.
Los Che are said to have announced Pereira’s deal via radio station Carrusel and the Belgian-born ace will now be able to earn further La Liga experience following his impressive stint with Granada.
Pereira had initially expressed his ambition to fight for his position under the Special One, but United’s Premier League form has been such that the 21-year-old does not stand a chance of breaking into the lineup anytime soon.
Manchester United have won their first three games of the new league campaign – similarly to last season, but there has been a clarity in the style of play with 10 goals scored with three clean sheets.
