Speculation Abounds About Who Will Be the New Stars of Manchester United for the 2015/2016 Season

It appears that Manchester United manager Louis can Gaal has been working on plans to improve his club in this summer’s transfer window. There has already been a lot of speculation about United’s potential targets in what is shaping up to be an eventful season at Old Trafford. In fact, it’s just as exciting as playing Australian mobile games at Royal Vegas.

Reports suggest that the prestigious club is interested in at least one new star. Based on information from the Manchester Evening News, Van Gaal are interested in recruiting Memphis Depay to their team. Van Gaal is already pretty familiar with Depay; especially since the talented footballer was part of the Dutchman’s squad for the 2014 World Cup. In fact, van Gaal used him on a regular basis to very good effect.

The 21 year old has scored 23 goals for PSV Eindhoven this season and he is unlikely to have done anything to minimize his potential in the eyes of United. In fact, he put in a thrilling display against Spain where he laid on the Netherlands second goal for Davy Klaasen.

Van Gaal’s interest in the members of his old Dutch squad may not end with Depay. Nigel de Jong’s contract with AC Milan is set to expire in June. Based on information from Italian publication Tuttosports, De Jong want a new challenge and the chance to reunite with Van Gaal and Manchester United is his first choice. While he may not be the most lucrative signing, his consistency in midfield could be quite a useful short term option for Manchester United.

Mats Hummels is another excellent choice to help round out United’s club however, they may have some work to do to convince this loyal player to move to Old Trafford. Many fans have been asking for his transfer to United, but Hummels has shown no huge signs that he is interested in breaking his commitment to Borussia Dortmund; even though his club had a poor season. However, this has changed recently and Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim revealed that the German World Cup winner announced to the club that he was starting to think about his future.

Once this information was released, claims began to emerge stating that Hummels has promised former United Manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, that if he ever left his beloved Germany club, it would be to join the Red Devils. Hummels, however, has said that this alleged promise has no basis in the truth.

Another reported Red Devils transfer targets is Fabio Coentrao, who has publicly stated he would welcome such a move. In fact, he said that he admires Manchester United and he would consider it to be an honor to get a chance to play there.
