Manchester United are close to securing the signature Casemiro from Real Madrid.

As per a report covered by The Telegraph, the Red Devils are hoping to announce the signing of the Brazilian international in the next few days.

The well-known British source have mentioned that the fee is going to be close to £60million.

As far as the personal terms are concerned, La Gazzetta Dello Sport joustnalist, Nicolo Schira, has revealed that Casemiro has accepted a deal that will make him earn 18 million euros a season, £60.9million until 2026.

The Telegraph claim that after securing the Samba star from the Los Blancos, the Old Trafford outfit will move for Cody Gakpo of PSV Eindhoven. Man Utd are fully focused on luring the Dutch international, who could cost around £34million.

Ten Hag desperately needed a world class signing to improve the midfield and after consistently getting snubbed by Frenkie de Jong, the Dutch manager moved all in for Casemiro. The former Porto star is 30 but he is still one of the best and most decorated defensive midfielders in the world and his arrival would lift the squad.

On the other hand, United need to improve firepower in the attacking third and Gakpo, who can play in multiple offensive positions, would be a top signing.

The Netherlands star directly contributed in 36 goals last season and this term, so far, he has netted 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 6 appearances for PSV.

Not to forget, under Van Gaal, we signed a proven quality Eredivisie attacker from PSV in the form of Memphis Depay but he failed to shine in the Premier League. Would Gakpo be a hit in the PL if he moves to Man United? We shall see.
