Manchester United receive huge fitness boost ahead of Tottenham clash

Eric Bailly Man United

Eric Bailly has returned to full training ahead of Manchester United’s important clash against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, according to the Daily Mail.

Manchester United were handed a harsh reality check after they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of newly promoted Huddersfield Town at the John Smiths Stadium last weekend and one of the main reasons behind the Red Devils’ loss was due to their poor performance in defence.

Victor Lindelof endured a shocking time on the pitch, with his mistakes directly leading to both of Huddersfield’s goals and now there are serious question marks regarding United’s ability to challenge the rampant Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

Now the Red Devils prepare to square off against a fellow title contender in Tottenham Hotspur this weekend and it goes without saying that Jose Mourinho’s side need to claim a victory from the encounter to get their bid to win the English crown back on track.

As a huge boost ahead of the clash, key defender Eric Bailly has returned to full training after missing a number of matches over the last few weeks due to injury and his return to fitness will surely be welcomed by Mourinho, especially with Lindelof looking less than impressive at the moment.
