Swap deal possible to land the £48 million-valued player at Old Trafford

Ivan Perisic Inter Milan

Jose Mourinho’s plans to further strengthen Manchester United’s attack towards next season have received a huge boost, with Inter Milan reportedly willing to let one of  the Red Devils’ summer targets Ivan Perisic. Sky Sports claims that Inter are adamant about a £48 million price tag, if Mourinihio wants to land Ivan Perisic at Old Trafford.

The 28-year-old Croatian has been linked with a switch to United in recent weeks, but the Series A club insisted on keeping one of their most prized possessions.

However, Inter’s director Walter Sabatini has revealed that a move could be on the cards, if Perisic is adamant on leaving Italy this summer.

According to Metro, United aren’t keen on meeting Inter’s £45million asking price, with Mourinho holding out £30million for the versatile forward.

Howerver, the San Siro outfit are open to letting Perisic go in a cash plus player(s) deal. The Series A side has shown their interest in Matteo Darmian and Anthony Martial, as their choices for a swap deal according to goal.com.

Perisic has bagged 81 club goals till date since making his debut for Roeselare in 2009, and his directness and style of play continue to set him apart from his peers.

Such a quality winger, who is capable of playing on either flanks, will be a great addition for Manchester United without an iota of doubt.

But it remains unknown if Mourinho will willingly let go two of his most important fringe players in order to land the 28-year-old.
