The news source have mentioned that Man Utd are assured they will be able to seal the signing of De Ligt in a deal worth £43m.

Erik ten Hag has taken the driving seat in this transfer saga. The Dutch manager has spoken to the 24-year-old defender and convinced him that he will be the defensive leader at Old Trafford.

The Bavarians do not want to lose the Netherlands international and fans have even signed petition to ensure he stays at the Allianz.

However, The Express claim De Ligt is ready to force through a move to Man Utd and the German giants will not stop the transfer if the valuation of £43m is met.

Ten Hag wants his compatriot to partner Argentine World Cup winner, Lisandro Martinez, in the central defense for the Red Devils.

Martinez is currently shining in the Copa America and even scored a goal in the victory over Ecuador. The La Albiceleste will collide against Canada in the last four.

On the other hand, last night, the Netherlands booked a place in the semi final of the Euro 2024 and will face England.

However, thus far, De Ligt has only warmed the bench for the Oranje as coach, Koeman, has preferred Van Dijk an De Vrij in his central defense.

In your opinion, should Man Utd bid £43m to sign Matthijs de Ligt?
