The British media outlet have mentioned that the 52-year-old boss wants Barcelona star, Frenkie de Jong, as his first signing for Man United.
The Catalan giants do not have favorable economic conditions at the moment and Ten Hag hopes to seal a cut-price deal worth £60million to lure the midfielder.
Since the appointment of Xavi Hernandez, De Jong has regularly started for Barca but his situation remains uncertain at the Nou Camp.
The Nou Camp legend has not ruled out offloading the 25-year-old star in the summer transfer window. He stated:
“I really like him, he is a very capable footballer, who can help us a lot in the game. We will see the economic situation the club is in, but I don’t want to talk about money.”
De Jong can effectively play in the No.6 role, he does not normally score and create goals but has the quality to control the tempo of the game from the center.
In your view, should Man Utd secure his signing for £60million?
