Transfer: Man Utd put blank cheque on the table to sign £330,000-a-week playmaker – Report

Today, Goal Brazil have claimed that Antony’s staff is already in Europe and are pressing to close a deal worth £51million to take the 22-year-old from Ajax to Manchester United.

The news source have mentioned that the Old Trafford club are trying to lure the South American, who could be Ten Hag’s first signing for the club.

The 52-year-old manager signed the youngster for Ajax two years ago and under his guidance, last season, he scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions for the Dutch giants.

Antony was part of the Brazilian team that won the Olympic Gold Medal last year. Moreover For the senior national side, so far, he has netted 2 goals and provided as many assists in 9 appearances.

The former Sao Paulo winger mainly plays on the right flank and if we do end up completing the signing, Ten Hag could utilize him with Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo in the offense.

Man Utd have already allowed attackers like Lingard and Mata to leave on a bosman this summer. On the other hand, Rashford was average and Martial had an average second half of the season on loan with Sevilla.

Therefore, the department should be reinforced in the summer transfer window. In your opinion, should Ten Hag splash £51million to sign Antony from Ajax?
