Manchester United suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Brighton in the Premier League yesterday and are now looking at further reinforcements.
The Red Devils have been wanting to improve the midfield department for some time with the name of Manuel Ugarte on top of the wish-list.

However, the Old Trafford outfit have not been willing to meet the asking fee set by Paris Saint-Germain.
After the defeat against Brighton, Erik ten Hag is now ready to agree the asking fee to secure Ugarte for Man Utd without wasting any time.
As per today’s edition of The Sunday People (news image provided below), thus far, the record champions have been unwilling to pay the £51m amount required to lure the Uruguayan international and instead, a loan deal has been raised.
However, after losing to the Seagulls, the British media outlet have mentioned that Ten Hag will press Man Utd to meet PSG’s demand to immediately secure the signing of Ugarte.
The South American star is a natural play breaker, who would likely replace, veteran Casemiro, in the center of the park.
As per The People, Ten Hag’s argument is that Man Utd, who have already secured four signings, still need to splash the cash to further improve the squad and therefore, must pay the asking fee for Ugarte.
Next up, United will face arch rivals, Liverpool, and Ten Hag would surely want Ugarte signed and ready for the fixture.
In all fairness, the Old Trafford bosses have backed the manager to the fullest this summer and the former Ajax boss should take the blame for yesterday’s defeat. In contrast, Liverpool have not signed a single player for their new manager.
Let’s see if United will listen to the coach and immediately pay £51m to get Manuel Ugarte.
