If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Dutch manager is still keen on hiring the services of De Jong to further strengthen things in the center.

As per Manchester Evening News (press image provided below), United have prioritized signing a new center forward and are also pressing to lure a new midfielder.

Strikers like Victor Osimhen, Harry Kane and Goncalo Ramos are on the radar at Old Trafford.

On the other hand, as far as the midfield is concerned, Erik ten Hag is willing to push again to finally sign De Jong from Barca.

MEN claim the former Ajax manager would endorse a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham if the England international is willing to join the Red Devils.

De Jong wanted to play Champions League football with Barcelona, who eventually ended up in the Europa League this term and were recently knocked out of the competition by Manchester United.

The Netherlands international excelled under Ten Hag at Ajax and has the quality to reinforce things in our midfield.
