Manchester United supporters were pleased with the performance of Marcus Rashford after he netted the winning goal during Tuesday night’s Champions League encounter versus CSKA Moscow.
The Russian giants took a 1-0 lead at half-time after Alan Dragoev scored controversially from an offside position. However, United came back in the second period with goals from Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford – both of whom ended their recent goal drought.
Rashford missed a glorious chance to score in the first-half where he hit the woodwork on the far post, but he made up for it with a neatly timed finish – just over a minute after Lukaku equalised for United on the night.
Here are the best tweets over Rashford’s showing….
Thought Rashford was brilliant yesterday. He glided past those CSKA defenders time after time. Top performance! #mufc

Pogba imperious…Lukaku strong and deserved his goal…Smalls big a rock tonight…good to see the kids get a run…Shaw ok going forward but…however, Rashford unplayable with his pace…thought he was excellent…final ball will come #qualified

10 Goals and 6 Assists / 16 goal contributions from Rashford in 25 games this season is not bad at all especially considering once again he's been on the wing for 90% of the time?
Still plenty of room for improvement though

Jose Mourinho has persisted with the 3-5-2 formation in the past couple of games, and it has worked out to United’s benefit with eight goals in the last three appearances across all competitions.
Despite Rashford’s impressive showing, Anthony Martial appears to have won over Mourinho for a regular starting role, and the Frenchman could pair up with Romelu Lukaku once more, should the Portuguese opt for a similar formation versus Manchester City.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic probably playing his final season at Old Trafford, Manchester United look in good hands going forward with both Martial and Rashford capable of stepping up with stand-out performances in the striker’s role.
