Manchester United fans were delighted with the impact of Romelu Lukaku off the bench against Bournemouth in the Premier League. The Red Devils managed to pick up a 2-0 win over the Cherries in the South Coast and this is likely to instill plenty of confidence within the squad ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup semi-final.
Chris Smalling opened the scoring for United in the first-half – with his third goal in as many away outings, but the game was not settled until Lukaku was introduced onto the pitch.
The Belgium international netted a 70th-minute clincher for United with a terrific first-time shot but prior to that, the fans were able to witness a lovely counter-attack which involved Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba.
That is a top class counter attacking goal. The pass from Martial is far more impressive than Pogba. Lovely goal. Lukaku with a lovely finish.

Lukaku registered his 16th goal in the league tonight and has now recorded his best ever season tally of 27 goals in all competitions. Certain people once compared him to Morata and Lacazette. All in all it’s been a fair return from the Belgian to say the least.

Lukaku really was a top signing for United. They’ve had loads of problems throughout the year and he’s still managed 30+ goal contributions in all competitions, taking his PL total to 100+ while only 24. Superb striker.

With the goal at Dean Court, Lukaku has registered the best ever scoring season of his professional career, and he has plenty to time to progress as he is just approaching his 25th birthday.
Alongside David de Gea, the Belgian has put in a shift in almost every game for United in 2018, and he will be hoping to end the season on a high by guiding the club to glory in the FA Cup.
