Transfer news: Jose wants Marouane Fellaini to stay at Old Trafford, Daley Blind could consider Barcelona Move

Netherlands international Daley Blind could push for an exit from Manchester United in the summer, should he fail to become a Premier League regular in the coming months. The Dutchman has not made a league start for United since August with the likes of Ashley Young and Luke Shaw preferred ahead of him in the pecking order.

According to ESPN, the 27-year-old could assess his position at the end of the campaign after the club took the opportunity to extend his contract by a further 12 months. The former Ajax graduate has mostly earned his playing time in the Cup competitions of late, and his future at Old Trafford looks bleak with Mourinho not giving him an eye for the Premier League duties.

Blind is currently deemed to be a transfer option for Barcelona, who are aiming to replace Javier Mascherano, but the deal looks highly unlikely until the summer with Mourinho wanting the bulk of his first-team squad together for the rest of the season.

The left-back spot has been an area of concern since the departure of Patrick Evra, and the likes of Blind and Matteo Darmian have failed to maintain consistency on the defensive side of things. United are on the search for a fresh recruit to bolster the position, and the pair could make way in order to fund a summer arrival.

Reports from ESPN FC claim that Manchester United board and Jose Mourinho want Fellaini to stay at Old Trafford. However, the ex Everton man has other options, including interest from Turkey, Italy and China. Earlier, the 30-year-old midfielder rejected a contract offer in September.
