Manchester United’s misery isn’t showing any signs of the end and following the defeat over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, they slipped to the 15th spot in the Premier League.
Now, they will face off against in-form Everton at Goodison Park this afternoon. The Toffees have been rejuvenated following David Moyes’ arrival as the new manager, accumulating 13 points in the last five league encounters.
As per team news, Ruben Amorim has been struck with numerous injury problems at the moment as Amad Diallo, Lisandro Martínez, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans and Kobbie Mainoo are all set to remain sidelined for this game owing to their injuries with Diallo and Martínez’s season already over.
Additionally, Leny Yoro and Christian Eriksen were out last weekend due to illness and are set to be available for selection this encounter.
Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer were also unavailable vs Spurs, thankfully, the Uruguayan is ready to feature this weekend. Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton are not in contention to be involved just yet.
Expected Man Utd line-up vs Everton
Andre Onana is set to be in goal with Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Noussair Mazraoui likely to be the back three. So, Yoro could be among the substitutes.
Patrick Dorgu was bright vs Spurs despite United’s defeat and he should keep hold of his place in the LWB position, while Diogo Dalot could be on the opposite side.
Casemiro should be replaced with Ugarte in the holding midfield position and Bruno Fernandes is expected to be alongside him. Therefore, Eriksen would have to settle for a place on the bench.
Joshua Zirkzee and Alejandro Garnacho might be the two CAMs as Amorim doesn’t have many options available to rotate in this area. Rasmus Hojlund would be leading the line for Man Utd. Here’s the line-up:
