Manchester United are struggling to get results on the pitch. Erik ten Hag has not managed to turn the situation around so far this season, with just three wins from 11 games across all competitions and the axe is hanging over his head, ready to fall.
The Red Devils board offered huge backing to the Dutch coach back in the summer, getting him as many as five signings.

The likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, Manuel Ugarte, Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro were expected to transform the future of the club.
While the signings have performed to varying degrees of success, the worrying fact is that it feels like Manchester United have taken two steps back this campaign, rather than taking one step forward. Thus, the Red Devils are lining up replacements.
As per Spanish source, Fichajes, one manager who is in the driver’s seat to replace Erik ten Hag is ex-Bayern Munich and Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel. However, the German coach has a demand from the Manchester United board to sign for them.
Tuchel wants Man Utd to secure the signature of Barcelona star, Ronald Araujo as a requisite to take over as the manager at Old Trafford. The Catalan giants would be willing to offload the South American center half for a fee worth £67million (80 million euros)
Should Man Utd finally sign Ronald Araujo?
The Red Devils are no strangers to the Uruguayan defender, having been linked with the man back in the summer.
Ronald Araujo has been out, rehabilitating from an injury that he suffered in the Copa America back in the summer. Barcelona and Hansi Flick wait for their star defender and captain to come back as he would be tailor-made to suit the German’s system.
Having just signed De Ligt and Leny Yoro this summer, we are not sure how much Manchester United would entertain Tuchel’s demand to sign a new centre-back.
It remains to be seen how this condition has a bearing on the club’s decision on the German coach. In your view, should Man Utd pay £67million to sign Ronald Araujo?
