Turkish giants Fenerbahce are reportedly weighing up a move for Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo as they seek to bolster their backline before the end of the month.
The Argentine had been heavily tipped for an exit before the English transfer deadline but unfortunately a deal could not materialise with any of the interested Premier League clubs.
Despite this, Rojo could still make way from Old Trafford as he presently finds himself behind Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling in the pecking order for a centre defensive role.
According to Fanatik via Turkish Football, Fener are keen to secure a season-long loan for the Argentina international after his proposed move to Everton was blocked by Jose Mourinho’s side.
United have experienced injury concerns in defence in each of the past two campaigns and based on this, Rojo could provide quality back-up during the course of the ongoing season.
However, with the restricted gametime up on offer, Rojo may seek to push for a move overseas for regular gametime which Fener are offering, albeit only on a temporary basis.
Rojo, who is currently recovering from a knock, only signed a long-term United contract in March.
