Two changes – Man Utd’s strongest 4-2-3-1 XI against Liverpool

De Ligt and Van Dijk

Man Utd will look to bounce back from their defeat against Brighton last weekend with a victory vs arch rivals, Liverpool.

The Merseysiders are the only remaining team in the Premier League not to concede a goal. Will Erik ten Hag’s men change that? We shall see.

As far as the team news is concerned, the Dutch manager is expected to make a couple of changes to the squad that started in the defeat against the Seagulls in the last league game.

England international, Mason Mount, has suffered an injury that will keep him out for weeks. He started in the No.10 role in the last game and in his absence, skipper, Bruno Fernandes, must feature in his preferred CAM position behind the striker.

New signing, Joshua Zirkzee, who scored the winning goal in the opening PL contest against Fulham, should get the nod to make his debut start for Man Utd vs Liverpool.

In the wide-offensive positions, the likes of Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo, who found the net against Brighton, must start.

Matthijs de Ligt would likely replace Harry Maguire, to also make his first start for the Red Devils today. The Oranje star should partner Lisandro Martinez in the central defense in front of African goalie, Onana. Yoro remains sidelined.

Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui would retain their fullback starting positions for Man Utd vs Liverpool.

In the center of the park, new signing Manuel Ugarte is unavailable against the Anfield club, therefore, Mainoo and Casemiro are expected to feature in the starting lineup again.

Man Utd predicted starting XI vs Liverpool:

Onana, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot, Casemiro, Mainoo, Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford, Zirkzee.
