With less than a month left for the transfer window to conclude this summer, Man Utd need to ramp up their efforts for their preferred targets. Until now, they have been playing the long, waiting game in negotiations.
Dan Ashworth’s stamp has been seen throughout this transfer window as Man Utd don’t want to overpay to sign their transfer targets like they used to do in previous seasons. One such target that they are waiting for is PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

The Uruguayan international finds himself out of favour under Luis Enrique in the French capital. As per today’s edition of Menorca (image attached at the end of the article), Ugarte is currently in Spain as he waits for Manchester United and PSG to reach an agreement.
Ugarte has been seen training hard in Sporting de Mahón facilities in Menorca as he looks to build up towards the new season. He has also been invited to dinner by national teammate and friend Fede Valverde as the wait for a new club continues.
The 23-year-old Uruguayan international would be an excellent addition to the Man Utd squad. He would be the perfect replacement for Casemiro. The Brazilian destroyer has looked a pale shadow of his former, imperious Real Madrid self.
With Kobbie Mainoo to partner with him in midfield, the need for a proper destroyer in midfield is a requirement for Man Utd. Ugarte, who is valued at £45m, perfectly fits the bill in this regard. PSG are also in the need to make space for Joao Neves.
All things considered, the sooner that Man Utd get Ugarte this summer, the sooner they can accelerate departure plans for Casemiro. Let’s hope the Red Devils can get the deal over the line soon.
