United Begin Looking For De Gea’s Replacement

Tottenham Hotspur's Hugo Lloris saves a shot on goal during their English Premier League soccer match against Manchester United

Amidst rumours that David De Gea has decided to join Real Madrid this summer, Manchester United have begun their search for a new goalkeeper claim The Guardian.

De Gea has a year left on his current deal and is yet to renew, with Real Madrid looking to take the Spaniard back to the Spanish capital.

If the 20 times champions are unable to tie De Gea down on a new long term deal it is thought that they will look to Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris as a replacement.

Lloris is thought to be keen to play Champions League football and having failed to achieve this at the North London club, is open to the idea of moving on.

Lloris, signed from Lyon in 2012, was used to European football at his previous club and will look to get back into Europe’s premier football competition as he enters his prime.

PSG are also thought to be interested, as they look to upgrade on Salvatore Sirigu but the financial constraints that saw them miss out on Angel Di Maria could also prevent them from signing the Frenchman.
