United keeper extends loan spell at Doncaster

Manchester United’s reserve goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has had his loan period at Doncaster Rovers extended until the end of January, as he continues to impress on his loan move from Old Trafford.

The extension was put in place between the two clubs with immediate effect, and will last at least until the 28th January 2015.

So far on his loan move to Doncaster Rovers, Sam Johnstone has kept four-clean-sheets, with an extension allowing him to play more football in their first team, rather than stuck in the second string at United with lack of games coming up.

There is no doubt that Sam Johnstone is a massive talent, but is it a talent that will come good at Manchester United or at another club? With the talent that are ahead of him you would have to say no. But, the progression he has shown in the past two seasons has been fantastic.
