United Set For SEVEN Transfer Deals In Hectic 48 Hours

It’s easy to see why many fans of other clubs may look at United fans as being somewhat spoiled as after signing world cup winning midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger the talk already turns to who the Reds are going to buy next.

The German is obviously a great signing but it would foolish to think Schweinsteiger is enough to make United contenders – there’s still more work to be done and thankfully it seems Louis Van Gaal agrees.

United could complete no less than seven transfers over the next 2 days as the manager looks to get his squad ready before they head out for the club’s US tour.

With Schweinsteiger already in the bag and Robin van Persie’s transfer to Fenerbahce all but done, there’s another five further deals in the offing for the Reds according to reports. Matteo Darmian has signed for United, while Victor Valdes has reportedly agreed a deal with Turkish side Antalyaspor. Van Gaal hasn’t given up on signing Morgan Schneiderlin and wants the transfer to be completed swiftly following weeks of wrangling between the two clubs.

Another name who could be joining the club shortly is Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid as the Reds look to find a replacement for David De Gea. Reports indicate United are ready to being talks with Atletico as they look to finally concede defeat in keeping De Gea, who will make his move the Bernabeu after weeks of negotiations -although it’s unlikely that Sergio Ramos will move the other way.

The Metro notes:

A host of names have been linked in recent weeks, but Atletico’s Oblak appears to be their choice, with AS reporting that talks are now underway over a transfer.

With Schweinsteiger, Van Persie, Darmian, Valdes, Schneiderlin, Oblak and De Gea all potentially done over the next two days it could be the busiest 48 hours in the club’s transfer history.

  1. I reiterate we should concentrate on the areas of importance instead of signing players that will not contribute to improving the team. We still need a good defensive midfielder, one or two clinical forwards and a strong center back.

  2. Degea should mature and pen a deal with Manchester. fans love him and he should not dissapoint us. he will be cursed if he goes against Manchester and therefore his performance will be affected.
