One thing you can’t fault United’s new signing Sergio Romero for is his dedication to his new club after the lanky keeper revealed he’s left his family behind to make the move to Old Trafford.
Before we all start labeling Argentina’s number one a heartless so and so it’s worth noting he’s declared it will only be temporary. Romero told the club’s website:
“I just want to show them how happy I am to be here. I’ve travelled here without my wife and my children in the short term to come and make the most of this fantastic opportunity. I’ve explained to my family that this is a huge opportunity for us. We are very happy indeed and I’m going to work really hard for the club and for my family to make this work.”
The new keeper seems to have a good understanding of both the club and his manager which bodes well for the future, hopefully as well he can have his family join him sooner rather than later as Louis Van Gaal always notes how happy settled players perform better.
