Wealthy Chinese investor addresses rumors of reported purchase of Manchester United

Chinese insurer Ping An does not have any interest in acquiring a stake in Manchester United, according to his spokesman.

Manchester United are arguably one of the most popular clubs in world football at the moment and being associated with the Red Devils certainly represents a huge financial opportunity for any company or brand.

As a result, it is no surprise to see United currently being sponsored by over 60 organizations and the number is only set to grow further in the coming years as the reach of the Red Devils expands exponentially.

China has a huge market which United have been looking to explore over the past few years and recently, there were reports that wealthy Chinese insurer Ping An was said to be planning a whopping £270million offer to acquire a 12 percent stake of the Premier League giants.

However, these reports have been refuted by Ping An’s spokesman Sheng Ruisheng as ‘fake news’ and that the billionaire is not interested in purchasing shares of the famous club.
