Who Are The Faithful? What Are The Faithful?

Manchester United have been around for a while now…well, since 1878 to be precise to include our green and gold early years. Widely touted by many as ‘The Biggest Club in the World’ it is a commercial behemoth, with fans wearing it’s colours on every continent on Planet Earth. Go to North Africa, and many locals’ only English is to utter the names of our players. I was in Egypt a few years ago, and the boy who guided us on a touristy camel trek could only say the words “Andy Cole” and “Dwight Yorke”

But behind this global brand popularity that ranks with those that wear New York Yankee baseball caps cos it’s cool, or those that only buy Ferrari product because it’s sexy, is a set of obsessive and adoring fans. The great footballing nations have always had this. In the Latin world they get called Ultras, and that word generally gets banded around with an association with hooliganism and violence. But over here in England it’s all alot less fashionable than the ultras tag, but just as powerful. For true United fans, the fact that the club is sooo big is unimportant. What is important is that United challenge as hard as we can for trophies, and that the club represents the people that love and cherish it so….The Faithful.

In this blog we hope to bring to you a little bit of that passion, and at times..obsession. We are not here to create controversy to get more web hits. We are not here to give you flashy competitions to hold your attention in a plastic manner. But we, like you…want to immerse ourselves in football..and specifically all things United. This website is dedicated to you..all members of The Faithful, and too all football fans who follow their clubs with the verve and compulsion that makes some look at you slightly strange… and others with knowing lustful soccereyes. We do not care if you are from Manchester or Malaysia, Salford or South Korea, Old Trafford or the Old Kent Road in London..if you live and breath our club….you will like what we do here.

Glory glory…We’ll Never Die…Take Me Home United Road…

Welcome to The Faithful
