Bayern Munich can seemingly not heard the end of Man Utd’s interest in their players this summer transfer window and it looks like one defender could be on his way to Old Trafford.
No, it is not Matthijs de Ligt.

Instead, the Red Devils might be closer to wrapping up a deal for Noussair Mazraoui, the Bayern right-back.
As per journalist Santi Aouna, Man Utd have assured the Moroccan international that a deal ‘will be finalized’.
Mazraoui is waiting for the deal to get green-lighted to leave Bayern’s pre-season tour and join the Red Devils. However, there is one crucial part of the transfer that is yet to be finalized before Man Utd can sign the 26-year-old.
West Ham United are negotiating to sign Man Utd right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and the details have not yet been sorted between the two clubs. The player on his part has agreed to join the Hammers which will give the Red Devils the space to sign Mazraoui.
We covered a story a week ago that Bayern are expecting around £25m to sell the versatile full-back this summer. It remains to be seen what kind of structure Man Utd are set to offer to convince the Bundesliga giants to sell the player.
Although predominantly a right-back, Mazraoui is no stranger to playing on the left side of defence as well. The 26-year-old often plays there for his national team due to the presence of PSG superstar Achraf Hakimi.
Having already been coached by Erik ten Hag (surprise, surprise!), the Bayern Munich defender should find adaptation to the coach’s style pretty easy. This in turn might help him in adapting to English football which could otherwise be a daunting task.
Let’s see how long Man Utd take to iron out the fine print on both deals. Mazraoui is a definite attacking upgrade on Aaron Wan-Bissaka and if the Red Devils manage to sign him, he will be yet another good addition to the squad.
