Winger Declares His Joy At United Transfer

You could be forgiven for thinking Angel Di Maria was on a one man crusade to upset every United fan on the planet, such has been the winger’s conduct over the past few weeks. It’s now got to the point where even an expected, fairly innocuous comment by the former Real Madrid man is greeted with unbridled anger by most Reds.

As Di Maria’s move to Paris Saint-Germain nears it’s conclusion, he’s noted his happiness at making a transfer that in all honesty, would’ve been best all round a year ago.

The Telegraph notes:

Angel di Maria has insisted he is “very happy” to leave Manchester United for Paris Saint-Germain, just 12 months after arriving at Old Trafford as British football’s most expensive signing in a £59.7m move from Real Madrid.

The Argentina winger is undergoing a medical in Doha – the base of PSG’s Qatari owners – and is expected to fly to Paris on Wednesday to rubber-stamp his £44.3m move after finalising his physical examination at the Aspire sporting complex.

The anger from United fans regarding Di Maria’s lack of interest in staying and fighting for his place is understandable as for such a high fee the least many of us expected was the winger to want to prove his worth to the club. It’s not been easy to witness the whole sorry sage unfold but it’s time for Reds to let him simply move on while we focus our intention on who’s going to be the next addition to our squad and whether that’s going to happen this Summer.
