Yeovil boss admits they need a miracle to beat United

The magic of the cup, starts this weekend for all the big names as we kick off the third-round of the Budweiser FA Cup. No bigger names out of the hat than that of Manchester United, and this weekend we travel down to Yeovil Town in Sunday afternoon’s kick-off.

Louis van Gaal is set to change the squad up a fair bit, bringing in some of the youth players, but even with that in mind Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson has admitted going into this weekend that his Yeovil Town side will need a “miracle” to beat the mighty Manchester United, but this is the cup, and upsets do happen.

Yeovil Town are not having the best of times in league-one, they’ve lost their last three matches and are currently bottom of bottom of the league.

Johnson said:

“We’d need a miracle to pull it off, but the FA Cup is the FA Cup, that’s the beauty of it nobody knows what’s going to happen.

“I was over the moon when we were drawn against Manchester United. I was in the house watching the draw with my wife and we both jumped up in the air and high-fived each other.”

Yeovil Town vs Manchester United kicks off at 3.30pm on Sunday.
