Transfer: Man Utd prepared to bid to sign £38million player – Report

According to Calcio Mercato, a number of center forwards could leave their respective clubs in the next transfer windows and the likes of Icardi, Mbappe, Haaland, Cavani etc are named.

The Italian news source have mentioned that Uruguayan international, Cavani, is linked with a move to Barcelona and as a replacement, Icardi could end up signing for Man Utd.

The Argentine forward is a proven quality goal-scorer, who was brilliant in the Serie A before moving to PSG. The dilemma is that the 28-year-old has mainly been a bench warmer this term in the presence of Mbappe, Neymar and summer signing Lionel Messi.

Icardi did not even start a single game in the group stages of the Champions League this term and so far, he has only started 7 games in the Ligue 1 (scored 4 goals).

His current contract with the French giants will expire in the summer of 2024 and he earns around £158,000-a-week at the Parc des Princes (L’Equipe via The Sun).

In your view, should Man Utd move in to secure the signing of Mauro Icardi?
