Tottenham and Manchester United are linked with a Brazilian forward in the form of Willian Jose.
According to Sky Sports News, Real Sociedad offered their striker on loan to Manchester United but the Red Devils have made their decision to turn the offer down.
Transfer: Man United made move to sign £42million striker – Report
The renowned British outlet have claimed that the north Londoners are not willing to meet the Spanish club’s asking price of £25million and are now discussing a loan deal.
Jose directly contributed in 16 goals (11 goals and 5 assists) in 28 league starts for Sociedad last term and as far as this season is concerned, he has so far scored 8 goals in 16 La Liga starts.
Due to uncertain future, manager Imanol Alguacil did not even select the South American forward in the team’s last three fixtures.
Last season, after 24 Premier League games, we were able to score 48 goals. However, this term, we have only managed to find the net 36 times. It is quite clear that failing to replace Lukaku in the summer transfer window is now hurting us.
What’s hurting us more is the absence of top scorer Rashford, who got injured earlier this month and will remain on the sidelines for some time. We lost our last two league games vs Liverpool and Burnley without even scoring a single goal and therefore, Solskjaer must lure a forward before today’s transfer deadline.
In your view, is Willian Jose good enough to improve our strike-force department? We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming hours.
