4-1-2-1-2: Man Utd’s strongest possible XI vs Chelsea

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Man Utd boss

Manchester United have lost their last three games in all competitions without scoring a single goal. The Red Devils need to bounce back big time and next up, they will collide against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

At the moment, Chelsea are three points above United with a superior goal difference. So, Solskjaer’s men must earn all three points or else they would likely finish outside the top four.

As far as the team news is concerned, the Norwegian manager opted to start a very defensive team against Man City on Wednesday night. We can expect a different setup vs the Blues.

Transfer: Man Utd have designated a rep to watch versatile star, who’s rated at £22m-£26m

De Gea has been terrible in the last three games and I think, Sergio Romero should replace him in the starting XI.

In the back-line, Young has been out of form, he should be ousted from the lineup and Darmian should start in the right back role. Shaw should start in the left back position and the likes of Lindelof and Smalling could retain their central defensive starting positions.

In the center of the park, we can expect Matic to return and the Serbian international should start as the main defensive midfielder. McTominay should replace Pereira and could partner Fred in the center of the park.

As far as the attack is concerned, Lukaku should return and partner Rashford in the strike-force and Pogba could start in the No.10 role behind the two forwards.

Here is Man Utd’s strongest possible 4-1-2-1-2 XI vs Chelsea:

  1. I will not play pogba at all. In fact I will demote him to the reserves and make him rot there for the next two years till contract expires and sell him after that and teach him a valuable lesson on respect. He is not world class. He is only an average player who is full of self. Any team that buys him will rot. Team harmony will be disrupted. Good luck to real Madrid. Pogba thinks he is the bet player on the planet. Have a good look in the mirror pogba. Messi and Ronaldo and Eden hazard are far beyond you.
