4-2-3-1: How Man Utd will line up with four deadline day signings

Old Trafford

Manchester United left it late to conclude their transfer business and completed four signings on deadline day.

Turkish goalie, Altay Bayindir, arrived from Fenerbahce, Spanish left back, Sergio Reguilon, joined on loan from Spurs, club legend, Jonny Evans, rejoined on a one year deal and Moroccan midfielder, Sofyan Amrabat, arrived on loan from Fiorentina.

The above mentioned quarter might not get straight into the starting XI but we look at a lineup with all of them featuring in Ten Hag’s favorite 4-2-3-1 formation.

Andre Onana is the first choice shot stopper but the Cameroonian international has been inconsistent in the first few games. He surely needs time to settle and if he does not, then we may see Bayindir start.

In the absence of injured Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, Reguilon should get the nod to immediately feature in the left back role.

We may see the La Roja defender start with Arsenal tomorrow evening.

Man Utd were unable to offload unwanted Maguire and then suffered a setback in the form of Raphael Varane’s injury.

So, signing of Evans, who has won three Premier League titles with United, makes sense and he may partner Lisandro Martinez in the central defense when he does start for Ten Hag.

The Dutch coach knows all about the talent of Sofyan Amrabat having worked with him at Utrecht but over the years, he has largely improved.

It will not be ideal to start two defense minded midfielders in the form of Casemiro and Amrabat, so, the Moroccan may only start when the Brazilian is on the bench and lately, the former Real Madrid man has been out of form.

Here is how Man Utd will line up with the four deadline day signings:
