As far as the team news is concerned, Ole Gunnar Solskaer could make a couple of changes in the squad that started vs Arsenal.

The likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof and captain Harry Maguire would likely retain their places in the defense in front of Spanish shot stopper David De Gea.

Record signing Paul Pogba mainly played on the left side of the field vs Arsenal. He must return to the center of the park and partner Fred. McTominay may find himself on the bench.

On the other hand, Anthony Martial could return to the line up and the Frenchman might start as the lone center forward up front. Cavani ruined two decent chances vs the Gunners and Martial could take his place.

Mason Greenwood could return to start on the right wing and Rashford should move back to the left flank. As always, Bruno Fernandes must start as the man central attacking midfielder behind the striker.

Here is Man Utd’s strongest possible 4-2-3-1 XI vs Southampton:

  1. Fantastic playing Man.Utd. We can see the fitness level which is so good. The quick running and that is the ultimate fine results of their goal scoring. Wan Bissaka great goal scored. Cavani is so exciting to watch. Luke always the same good playing. So is Rashford you can see he is most of the time he is scoring. Bruno and Mctomminay and all our Man.Utd heros played well today. Great team work. Keep going and always show your hunger like today and everytime. Keep your eyes on the ball and ultimately you will end up having your eyes on the trophy.

  2. McTominay is electric today. Wish to see him in that form always. Real smooth playing by all Man.Utd players. Martial was also much better and on target. You all gave it you all and us the fans so very proud of you all. May you all do well from now on even trashing all the teams that challenged you all and beat you all. If you all continue to play in that same manner.
