£40million star backed to agree Manchester United move

Manchester United need to sign a center forward even if they opt to agree a one year extension with Edinson Cavani. The veteran Uruguayan is a short term fix and Martial is not even an out and out center forward.

Simon Jordan, the ex owner of Crystal Palace, has backed England international Tammy Abraham to agree a move to Old Trafford.

Transfer: Man United told £69.5million would get signing done – Report

Jordan told talkSPORT:

“Tammy Abraham can operate at that level if he’s given the opportunity to do so. That opportunity is not going to come at Chelsea.”

“I don’t think, with due respect, it’ll be West Ham because he’ll have different aspirations.”

“This boy could play in the Manchester United side.”

After a successful loan spell with Aston Villa in the 2018-19 campaign in which he scored 25 goals (37 Championship appearances), Chelsea brought Abraham back.

Under the management of Lampard last term, the 23-year-old center forward scored 18 goals in all competitions and provided 6 assists. This season, so far, in 18 starts, he has directly contributed in as many goals.

However, since the appointment of Tuchel, the Three Lions star has just started a single league game for the Blues in the Premier League. On the other hand, he did start under the German boss against Barnsley in the FA Cup and scored the winning goal of the contest.

As per a recent report covered by The Telegraph, The Stamford Brdige outfit are ready to sell Tammy Abraham, who will be out of contract in 2023, for a fee worth £40million. In your view, is he good enough to play for Man Utd?

  1. I would prefer United to be brave and bid for Patson Daka, who I think will otherwise be snapped up by Leipzig for much less than £40m, only to become their next Haaland. He’s a sensational talent.
